Si informano gli studenti interessati che anche questo anno si terrà un ciclo di seminari dal titolo "Approfondimenti in Matematica Applicata", dedicato prevalentemente agli studenti di triennale e di magistrale in Ingegneria Elettronica/Electronics Engineering. Come ogni anno gli argomenti saranno vari, ma tutti con un comun denominatore: l'uso della matematica nelle applicazioni ingegneristiche, fisiche, biologiche, etc.
Agli studenti del CdLM in Electronics Engineering che seguiranno il ciclo di seminari e supereranno la prova finale prevista verranno attribuiti 3 CFU.

Per partecipare al ciclo di seminari occorre prenotarsi. Le iscrizioni si chiuderanno il 13 aprile e, ove si fosse raggiunto il numero minimo di studenti previsto per l'attivazione del ciclo, 15, questo inizierà nella seconda metà di aprile.

Le date esatte, e l'elenco dei seminari, sarà disponibile dal 15 aprile circa. Gli studenti interessati ad iscriversi devono mandare un mail, entro e non oltre il 13 aprile, a "fabio.bagarello@unipa.it", con oggetto iscrizione al ciclo di seminari "Approfondimenti in Matematica Applicata".

I seminari saranno tenuti dal Prof. Bagarello: sono previsti 5 seminari di circa 3 ore ciascuno, che si terranno il mercoledì pomeriggio in aule da stabilire. L'argomento dei seminari è il ruolo della matematica nella costruzione dei modelli per sistemi fisici, elettronici, sociali e biologici.
La frequenza è obbligatoria. Ogni studente può al più risultare assente ad un incontro, pena l'impossibilità di ottenere i 3 CFU previsti e che saranno erogati secondo le modalità descritte di seguito.

Gli studenti iscritti (anche in gruppi di non più di tre studenti) dovranno preparare delle relazioni sui seguenti argomenti:

3. modelli matematici in Decision Making
4. modelli matematici in Fisica
5. modelli matematici in Elettronica
5. modelli matematici in Scienze sociali

Si informano gli studenti interessati che la prof.ssa Tinnirello ha organizzato, assieme ai proff. Mangione e Croce, un minicorso su Emerging Network Technologies, le cui lezioni saranno tenute dal prof. Giovanni Neglia, nei giorni venerdi' 18, lunedi' 21 e martedi' 22  a partire dalle 15 in aula O011, sugli argomenti riportati in calce (per un totale di 8 ore).

- DIGITAL Designer

Onsemi's Cloud Power group is hiring some Digital design engineers (new graduate with master degree). You will be a member of a team responsible for developing digital solutions for our multi-phase mixed-signal DC-DC controller platform. As a digital designer at Onsemi, you will work on the digital architecture MCU based and you will be involved in all aspects of digital development including RTL design, DFT, verification, synthesis, and assist in physical design. You will also help the system engineer to define system partition between analog, digital and firmware parts. In this role, you will work with a robust digital and verification team closely with the system architect, application, firmware engineers, analog designers and test engineers to deliver innovative solutions to our customers.
Analytical approach to problem solving is highly required. A previous experience in role is plus but it isn’t mandatory.

As part of the "Staff Mobility for Teaching" action within the Erasmus + agreement existing between the Universities of Palermo and Iaşi,

Prof. Dimitris Charalambidis, Emeritus at the Department of Physics, Universtity of Crete, IESL-FORTH (Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser – Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas) in Heraklion (Crete, Greece), Chief Scientific Advisor at ELI-ALPS (Extreme Light Infrastructure Attosecond Light Pulse Source), Szeged (Ungheria), will held a cycle of lectures on “Physics and Technology of Femto and Attosecond Lasers”, within the activities of a UniPa Co.R.I. STMicroelectronics has organized a course entitled “ST Leading to System Development” offered to the students of the Master's Degree courses in "Electronics Engineering" and in "Cyber-Physical Systems Engineering for Industry" as “Stage and others” (18 hours, 3 credits) .

L'elettorato passivo è costituito da tutti gli studenti iscritti al CdS, non oltre il primo anno fuori corso.
L'elettorato attivo è costituito dai componenti del CICS in Ingegneria Elettronica ed Electronics Engineering.

A parità di voti di preferenza risulta eletto il candidato iscritto all'Università dall'anno accademico più recente; a parità di anno di iscrizione, il più giovane di età.

Sono pubblicate nel seguente file le informazioni stabilite dai docenti del CdL in Electronics Engineering in merito alla modalità di erogazione delle lezioni per gli studenti rientranti nelle categorie previste dalla nota rettorale prot.19555 del 18/02/2022 che dovessero avanzare richiesta di fruizione delle attività didattiche in modalità a distanza.

Si avvisano gli studenti del CdL in Ingegneria Elettronica / Elettronica e delle Telecomunicazioni e del CdLM in Electronics Engineering che le lezioni del II modulo del primo semestre si svolgeranno nelle aule e secondo le modalità di seguito indicate:

I corsi del primo e secondo anno della Laurea si svolgeranno nell'aula F180, in presenza a settimane alterne:
- il primo anno si svolgerà in presenza a settimane alterne a partire dal 22/11
- il secondo anno si svolgerà in presenza a settimane alterne a partire dal 15/11
in questo modo gli studenti avranno i pomeriggi liberi per studiare, pur non perdendo il contatto coi docenti.

Prof. Dimitris Charalambidis, Emeritus at the Deaprtment of Physics, Universtity of Crete, IESL-FORTH (Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser – Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas) in Heraklion (Crete, Greece), Chief Scientific Advisor at ELI-ALPS (Extreme Light Infrastructure Attosecond Light Pulse Source), Szeged (Ungheria), will held a cycle of lectures on “Physics and Technology of Femto and Attosecond Lasers”, within the activities of a UniPa Co.R.I. Project 2018 (Azione D3).

Al fine di verificare la sussistenza dei requisiti linguistici prima dell’accesso alla laurea magistrale, come negli scorsi anni, è stato predisposto, con la collaborazione del CLA, un test di lingua inglese di livello B2 che sarà possibile svolgere in modalità on-line, con erogazione centralizzata per tutti i CdLM dell’Ateneo, nei giorni 17 settembre, 22 ottobre e 26 novembre. Gli studenti che avranno presentato domanda per ciascuna delle tre sessioni, riceveranno l’invito a partecipare al test con notifica a cura del SIA.

Il 26.9.2008 si è svolto, presso la ex Facoltà di Ingegneria (oggi Scuola Politecnica), l'incontro con le organizzazioni del mondo della produzione, dei servizi e delle professioni, ai sensi dell'art. 11, c. 4 del DM 270/2004, sulla proposta di istituzione dei Corsi di Laurea e di Laurea Magistrale della ex Facoltà di Ingegneria per l'AA 2009-2010. Il Preside, prof. Francesco Paolo La Mantia, ha illustrato la nuova offerta formativa, indicando i criteri per la riprogettazione, le limitazioni ed i vincoli per l'attivazione dei nuovi corsi di laurea, i CFU comuni alle classi di laurea, i requisiti necessari e qualificanti, definiti dal DM 544/2007 per i nuovi Corsi di Laurea Triennale e di Laurea Magistrale ed evidenziando gli obiettivi, i fabbisogni formativi, nonché gli sbocchi professionali. Dopo attenta discussione, i rappresentati delle organizzazioni del mondo della produzione, dei servizi e delle professioni sociali, quali Italtel SpA, Ordine degli Ingegneri di Palermo, Ordine degli Architetti di Agrigento, ARPA Sicilia, Camera di Commercio di Palermo, Confindustria (Provincia di Agrigento), Confindustria (Provincia di Palermo), avendo preso visione dell'offerta formativa, la hanno ritenuta congrua con la legislazione vigente, di elevato profilo culturale e pienamente rispondente alle esigenze professionali e socio-economiche del territorio e hanno espresso, pertanto, parere pienamente favorevole alla sua attuazione. Please find described below the information for non-EU students with residency abroad who wish to enrol in a degree program at the University of Palermo.

The Italian Ministry of University and Research has recently published the new "PROCEDURES FOR ENTRY, RESIDENCY AND ENROLMENT AT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS FOR STUDENTS REQUIRING VISAS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION COURSES IN ITALY, FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-2021" (https://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/moduli/2020/Circolare_2020_2021_EN.pdf). These new national centralized procedures simplify the steps needed for requesting Visas and enrolling at Italian Universities.

• According to the above-mentioned document, you will need to register yourself both on Unipa Student Portal (TUTORIAL) and on Universitaly Portal (TUTORIAL). 
  

• Prepare a copy of your (i) Bachelor’s Degree, (ii) of the Transcript of Records, (iii) a valid passport, (iv) passport photo, (v) and a CV to be uploaded on Universitaly Portal and on on Unipa Student Portal (in a single file)
• Since the Master Degree in Electronics Engineering is held in English Language, during pre-enrollment candidates will be required to upload satisfactory certification of an adequate knowledge of English (B2) for visa issuing from the Italian Diplomatic Authority in their country.
  • In case of a positive evaluation of your application, you will receive a digital copy of the pre-acceptance letter uploaded in your page within the Student Portal, which will be forwarded to the Italian Diplomatic-consular mission in your Country.  
  • The subsequent pre-enrolment phases will be completed at the relevant Diplomatic-consular missions for the purpose of obtaining the visa. Be aware that the preliminary acceptance by the University of Palermo does not confer any right to obtain a visa.
    

• Once the pre-enrolment application has been completed, all candidates must apply for a university study/enrolment visa at the Italian consular diplomatic mission of the Country of residence.

Be aware that such information and procedures are valid for A.Y. 2020/21 and may be changed when the pre-enrolment for A.Y. 2021/22 will start.

Si informano gli studenti che relativamente alle modalità operative per le verifiche dei requisiti per l’immatricolazione alle lauree magistrali - è stato emanato il Decreto Rettorale rep. n. 2522 prot. n. 69523 del 7.09.2020, in cui viene indicata la modalità a distanza su Piattaforma Teams.

Esclusivamente per la verifica del requisito di conoscenza della lingua inglese, la somministrazione del test sarà curata centralmente dall’Ateneo, tramite piattaforma informatica in unica data per ciascun intervallo.

Per il primo turno la data scelta è il 18 settembre p.v. e la convocazione con le relative modalità operative sarà curata dal Servizio speciale per la didattica e gli studenti.

Position no. 1:

Position no. 2: Application Engineer in Power Group

A flexible candidate is required, with high propensity towards solving of theoretical and practical problems.
